Great employment opportunities 2009-04-07 Great employment opportunities at Jobs & Careers Gatwick/Crawley

Are you looking for a great new job or do you want to kick start the summer and improve your job prospects? Come along to Jobs & Careers Gatwick/Crawley.

The annual jobs and careers opportunities event is organised by Prospect Events and supported by Crawley News, and will take place at the K2 Leisure Centre, from 10.30am to 6pm on Thursday 15 May.

Visitors can search for their ideal job, get advice and information from top employers and for the first time, participate in special advice workshops.
Short workshops and seminars will be held at the event to help provide information on:

Top tips on how to job search and get that perfect job
Eye catching CV writing skills
Winning interview techniques
Advice on setting up a business

The workshops will take place on the hour at intervals through the day, and will benefit all visitors including those at risk or fear of redundancy and returners to work, however everyone is welcome to participate.
There will be an opportunity to meet advice agencies and arrange one-to-one meetings to get specialist, individual employment advice.

Agencies attending the exhibition include Jobcentre Plus, nextstep, Business Link Sussex, Crawley News and The Write Stuff. All will be available to help visitors in their quest to find the perfect job.

Andrew Coates of organisers Prospects said: “Jobs & Careers Gatwick/Crawley will bring together the local employers, training providers and great local employees.

“The event and seminars are informative and informal so there won’t be any interviews, just the chance to meet the teams and find out more about local businesses looking for staff like you. Come along and meet employers face-to-face in an informal atmosphere to find out what it would be like working for them.

“Last year’s event was a huge success, with nearly 40 companies and 1,200 visitors, this year the market is much harder but with the addition of these helpful workshops visitors can get advice, or even a new career path, to suit them.”

Jobs and Careers Gatwick is a free event and anyone in the job market is welcome to come along. The doors open at 10.30 am and the event runs until 6 pm. To find out more or to be a part of this great event visit www.jobsandcareersevents.co.uk and register your interest today.
